GROCERIES IN NEW HARBOR
REILLY’S GROCERY, which is located across from Fairwind Marine in the center of
New Harbor Village, provides newspapers, meats, fresh fish, produce, beer, wine and spirits.  All your grocery needs.
Reilly’s Grocery hours are currently 8:00 a.m. to 6:00

DEE’S VARIETY on Route 130  stocks beverages and a small
selection of non-perishable grocery items. Dee’s provides a “take out” or “eat in at the

SHOPPING IN NEW HARBOR/PEMAQUID/WALPOLE
THE SEA GULL SHOP is located next to the Pemaquid Point Lighthouse with Maine
gifts for all, including Pemaquid Point memorabilia, jewelry, and pottery. Their

PEMAQUID CRAFT CO-OP on New Harbor Hill has a selection of hand made
treasures which are a must see. They have items including Christmas and Halloween
decorations and handmade infant sweaters. Their 15 rooms are a treat to be seen by all.
THE WALPOLE BARN is located at 135 State Route 129 in Walpole. They have an array of wines, fresh oysters, and unique gifts. They are open daily 10a-6p. They can be reached at 207-563-7050 or on their website www.walpolebarn.com. They are adjacent to the historical Walpole Meeting House.
OUT TO EAT!
SHAW’S FISH AND LOBSTER WHARF is the place to be. The menu offers many
seafood choices, steaks, and simple burgers on the casual side. The wharf has live
lobsters which may be hand selected and children are always welcome to come into the
Lobster Room” to look at and touch the live lobsters. The “Raw Bar” is a full outdoors
bar where most enjoy evening cocktails, but may enjoy appetizers or dinner in the relaxed

THE CONTENTED SOLE – Come by boat, come by car! Dockside dining with fresh

ANCHOR INN in Round Pond is a place you don’t want to miss. The favorite locale
offers a complete menu specializing in seafood and fabulous service. Views of the harbor
enhance the dining experience. Open 7 days per week for lunch and dinner. Their

THE BRADLEY INN located on the tip of the peninsula, will provide you with an
elegant “parents night out”. They offer hors d’oeuvres, fine cuisine, and decadent

THE CUPBOARD CAFE is known to be New Harbor’s finest! Located on the Huddle
Road, they are known all over the area for outstanding breakfasts and lunches.
Everything The Cupboard serves is baked on the premises utilizing Fred and Claudia’s
family recipes. They are open for breakfast and lunch Tues-Sat 8a-3p and Sunday

HARBOR ICE CREAM on the green in New Harbor Center featuring Gifford’s home
made ice cream with lots of uniquely Maine flavors such as, Moose Tracks, Deer Tracks,
and Black Bear. They are open daily during the summer season.
THE SEA GULL SHOP is located next to the Pemaquid Point Lighthouse and serves
breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Their hours are Tues-Thurs 730a-3p and Fri-Mon 730a-8p.

COVESIDE RESTAURANT & BURGEE PUB located on Coveside Road in South
Bristol. Fine Dining overlooking Christmas Cove or a burger from the pub menu. They

HANNAFORD and MAIN STREET GROCERY provide all the necessities that you
may not find in the town of New Harbor.
RISING TIDE is the local food co-op. They provide local grown, organic, and free-
range foods. They also offer “in-house” sandwiches, soups, and salads made fresh daily
or upon request.
THE WEATHERBIRD is the areas “trendy” gourmet shop, fancy cheeses, pâtés, wines
and bakery items. They also offer a fine selection of jewelry, clothing, and gifts.
RENY’S is the place to go for anything that you have forgotten. There are two stores on
Main Street in Damariscotta. Reny’s Upstairs has clothing (including LL Bean,
Columbia, and Land’s End seconds). Reny’s downstairs carries toys, shoes, household
items and just about anything you may need to make your vacation more like home.
CLARK'S FARM is located on Business Route One in Damariscotta. They offer
variety of in-season fresh vegetable. They are open daily during the growing season.
WALGREEN'S (Business Route One) and HANNAFORD (Business Route One) will fill out-of-state prescriptions in emergencies.
LOCAL FARMER’S MARKETS are available twice a week, please check the local
newspapers for the dates, times, and locations of the Local Farmer’s Market.
THINGS TO DO AND PLACES TO SEE
The Rachel Carson Salt Pond located on State Route 32.
The Hardy Boat (leaves from Shaw’s Wharf) offers boat trips to Mohegan Island, Puffin
Sightings, Whale Watches, and Sunset Cruises by the Lighthouse. Reservations are

Pemaquid Point Lighthouse and Fisherman’s Museum at the end of Route 130.
Pemaquid Colonial Restoration and Fort William Henry off of Huddle Road.
Pemaquid Beach Park is located off of Snowball Hill Road.
The Darling Center, is cooperatively owned by the University of Maine. They have
marine studies, good hiking trails, and touch tanks with marine life. The Darling Center
is located off of Route 129 in Walpole.
Dodge Point offers hiking trails. It is located off of River Road in Newcastle.
Tracey Preserve and Plummer Point Preserve, both located on Route 129 in South Bristol.
The Laverna Preserve located on Route 32 in Chamberlain offers an enjoyable hike with incredible views of the open ocean.
Round Top Center of the Arts features local artists and sculptors. It is located on
Business Route One in Damariscotta.
CLC – Central Lincoln County YMCA houses basketball courts, tennis courts, squash,
racquetball, exercise rooms and daily athletic programs in addition to its playground. The

Monkey C Monkey Do is located on Route One in Wiscasset. They offer a high flying

The Thompson Ice House Museum is located on Route 129 in South Bristol. In July they
have an annual ice cream social.
For other areas of interest, please check the local newspapers, as there is much to be
experienced just on the outskirts of our small community.
